On June 15-17th 2019, the Global Somali Diaspora held its third international meeting in collaboration with ICYF and Yunus Emre Institution in Istanbul, Turkey.

The GSD has been established to improve contact and communication among three million Somalis living in the diaspora, ensure that they join forces to solve their common problems. Moreover, GSD creates various opportunities and make sure that they can contribute to their homeland.

More than a hundred leaders, activists, professionals and community representatives from all over the world attended the conference.

The conference was honored by the presence of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Somalia Deputy Prime Minister and Former President of Somalia.
