The 2nd High School Model OIC concluded on 15th April 2019 with a closing ceremony that was attended by around 800 students in Haliç Congress Center in Istanbul, Turkey. The ceremony started with the welcoming remarks of ICYF President, H.E Mr. Taha Ayhan, and Beyoglu Education and Cultural Foundation (BECF) Chairman of the Board, Mr. Şaban Kurt, who highlighted the satisfaction on the exemplary held diplomatic training for young participants, and vowed to continue with the program in 2020 and beyond.

During his speech, Mr. Ayhan stated that ‘’It is essential that we continue to apply diplomatic relations as the Islamic world, because of our significant influence in international decision-making’’. He also mentioned that ICYF would continue paving the way for young citizens of the OIC geography to benefit for non-formal education in the form of Model OIC kind of programs, particularly with the kind support of OIC Member States and other relevant Institutions.

High Officials from Republic of Turkey including Prof. Dr. Ziya Selçuk Minister of National Education, Mr. Bilal Erdoğan President of World Ethnosport Confederation, Mr. Nureddin Nebati, Deputy Minister of Treasure were among those that have addressed the Closing Ceremony.

The day concluded with Award Ceremony to the successful delegates of 2nd International Model OIC High School Summit, and At the end of the ceremony a tri-partite MoU signed by ICYF, BECF and International Islamic Federation of Student Organizations (IIFSO) for joint programs for the benefit of students in near future.
