ICYF signed a new protocol with the Union of Municipalities Turkey in an effort to boost cooperation and joint efforts within the framework of youth empowerment and development amidst the pandemic. The signing of the protocol was graced by the ICYF President, H.E Taha Ayhan, and his counterpart, President of the Union of Municipalities Turkey, H.E Fatma Şahin. She reminded the youth to remain hopeful and not to give up as the world is battling the pandemic by uttering the following “Time, coordination and time to do business together. Only with such strong cooperation and coordination can we produce great solutions to the great problems of the world”.
The memorandum of understanding signed between the Union of Municipalities of Turkey (TBB) and the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) aims to develop projects for young people. According to a statement from the Union, the memorandum of understanding was signed at the TBB service building by President Fatma Şahin on behalf of TBB and President Taha Ayhan on behalf of ICYF. The protocol also aims to develop projects for young people between municipalities and ICYF.
His Excellency added, “I believe that our cooperation with TBB, one of the leading institutions in Turkey, will strengthen us”.
H.E Fatma Şahin concluded with the following “I believe that this work will be beneficial for both the future of the world and for young people, I thank Mr. President and his team very much. Along with this signature, I hope that with this signature we will contribute to World Peace. Good luck.”
