ICYF delegation headed by Mr. Taha Ayhan was received by H.E. Azad Rahimov, the Minister of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Baku on 6th September, 2019.

The ICYF President highly appreciated H.E. Azad Rahimov’s participation as his capacity the Chair of the Islamic Conference of Youth and Sport Ministers (ICYSM) at the OIC Youth Day Celebrations held in Istanbul on the 3rd September, 2019. He also informed Minister Azad Rahimov  about the upcoming events of the Forum and highlighted that the close relations and cooperation with Azerbaijan will be strengthened in the future.

The Chair of the ICYSM, Minister Azad Rahimov noted that he was pleased by having ICYF delegation headed by H.E. Taha Ayhan in Azerbaijan and expressed that the Government of Azerbaijan strongly supports the ICYF  and its activities as well as its new President.

The ICYF President expressed his deep gratitude to Mr Azad Rahimov and noted that the ICYF since its foundation has been counted on the support of the Government of Azerbaijan, specially the personal support and care of H.E. Mr Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan.

At the meeting the sides also discussed the issues related to the expansion of the cooperation between ICYF and Azerbaijan, as well as the agenda of the next meeting of the Steering Committee on OIC Youth Strategy to be held on the 3rd October, 2019 in Jeddah, KSA.
