The conference welcomed high level guests; Ministers of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey, Republic of Azerbaijan, Minister of Culture and Sports of the State of Qatar and President of the Higher Council for Youth and Sports of the State of Palestine, heads and representatives of international organizations as well as 70 young delegates representing the OIC Member States.
During the Ministerial panel on the theme “Pro-Active Youth Policy as a Key Factor in National Development”, Ministers discussed central issues related to enhancing the state of youth development and well-being in OIC Member States, while suggesting actionable solutions to current problems faced by youth.
The 2nd panel on the theme of “The Role of OIC Institutions Active in the Field of Youth in Improving the State of Youth in OIC Member States” welcomed representatives of the OIC institutions active in the field of youth, including IDB, ISSF and SESRIC as well as high-level representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The Conference has also launched the 1st Report on the State of Youth in the OIC Member States, featuring the 1st Youth Policy Score Indicator essential to measuring progress on youth policy throughout the OIC; prepared jointly by ICYF-DC and SESRIC, according to the relevant resolution of the 3rd session of the Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers (ICYSM).
At the end, based on the discussions held in the relevant panels, the Conference has adopted the outcome document summarizing the visions of the High-Level Panelists and reccommendations voiced by the youth delegates.
