The ICYF delegation headed by H.E. Taha Ayhan was received by H.E. Capitan Adnan Darjal, the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Iraq on the margins of the 3rd OIC Permanent Ministerial Council on Youth and Sports held on 23 June 2022 in Baku. Mr. Ayhan briefed the Iraqi Minister about the ICYF implemented activities. H.E. Adnan Darjal highlighted the importance of strengthening the cooperation and collaboration between the Ministry and ICYF while encouraging the ICYF team to organize programmes and implement projects in different regions of Iraq. He also welcomed and appraised the ICYF report that was presented during the session and urged ICYF to do more to reach more youth in the OIC geography. The Iraqi Minister invited the ICYF President to Iraq. The ICYF President emphasized the Forum’s readiness to expand its programmes and projects in line with the Iraqi Minister’s recommendations and assured that the close coordination between the ICYF Secretariat and the Minister will be garanted. Both parties reiterated the significance of the MoU signed in January 2020 and agreed to develop the postcovid cooperation within the framework of this document.
