The ministry of Youth and sports of Bangladesh, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officially launched the “Bangabandhu Global Youth Leadership Award” under the umbrella of Dhaka OIC Youth Capital to appreciate youth enthusiasm and enlighten the global youth with the leadership spirit of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Recognizing the contribution of youth in all sectors, President Hamid said the key factor that has been helping the government to achieve all the successes is the youth taking the responsibilities and making contributions in all sectors.
Commemorating the Golden Jubilee of Independence and the Birth Centenary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, ICYF President H.E. Taha Ayhan emphasized the importance of OIC Youth Capital program to provide the youth from the OIC regions and beyond a highly effective forum to showcase their knowledge and skills as well as to inspire them to connect with the youth around the world.
The Chair of the Ceremony, State minister for Youth and Sports H.E. Md. Zahid Ahsan Russel said, “We are organizing the “Bangabandhu Global Youth Leadership Award”, named after our Father of the Nation, to recognize the success of the young leaders around the world in five different categories: Innovation, Climate Response, Humanitarianism, Sports, Culture and Art, and Entrepreneurship; and enlighten them with the leadership traits of Bangabandhu.”
The award has been introduced to recognize the efforts and achievements of the youths of across the globe in different fields.
Honorable Foreign Minister, Ministry of the Foreign Affairs, Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen, M.P., Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Youth and Sports, Abdullah Al Islam Jakob, MP, and Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Youth & Sports of Bangladesh, Mr. Md. Akhter Hossain joined the occasion as special guests
