The International ILEM Summer School eighth edition (IISS-8) will kick off on Monday, the 24th of July 2023, in Istanbul under the theme “Rethinking Art and Aesthetics in the Islamic World: Concepts, Theories, and Practices.” The 7-day program will feature 40 academics from 15 countries who will share their knowledge and experience on the agenda with participants. IISS-8 will commence with a grand opening ceremony at the Ayasofya Medresesi of FSMV University, immediately followed by an ICYF panel on “Enriching the Contemporary Worldview: Muslim Youth and the Aesthetic Foundations of Islamic Intellectual Heritage.” ICYF President H.E. Taha Ayhan will be among the special guests in attendance at the event.
