On the margins of the OIC Cultural Activity held in Indonesia , ICYF organized Indo-Pacific Youth Gathering in collaboration with the Indonesian National Youth Council on 12 July 2023, in Balikpapan University (UNIBA), where young muslim leaders and representatives of muslim youth organizations from Cambodia , Myanmar , Thailand , Malaysia , Bangladesh , and various youth NGOs in Indonesia namely OIC Youth Indonesia, Muhammadiyah, Nahdatul-Ulama have deliberated challenges that Muslim youth face in the Indo-Pacific region.

Mr. Tantan Lubis, ICYF Vice-President representing the Asian Group and Chairman of the Indonesian National Youth Council, as the host, addressed the participants with his welcoming remarks. Mr. Rasul Omarov, the ICYF Director-General delivered an opening statement on behalf of the ICYF President.
