On June 5th, 2022, the delegation of Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) led by Mr. Rasul Omarov, the Director-General of ICYF paid a visit to the OIC Women Development Organization HQs (WDO) in Cairo, Egypt.

Fatma Alzahraa Abdelkawy, Director for Policy, Program, and Inter-governmental Support welcomed the ICYF delegation.

Both parties exchanged views on issues pertaining to challenges facing girls and women and laid the framework for close cooperation on youth and girls’ issues within the mandate of ICYF as one of the major implementing agencies of the OIC Youth Strategy, and OIC resolutions on youth issues, especially when girls make up more than a half of the OIC youth population.
