ICYF Condemnation of Terrorist Attacks in Some OIC Member States and Beyond

ICYF strongly condemns the terrorist attacks in Tehran carried out by DAESH today, 07 June 2017. Barbaric terrorism of DAESH, which sparked during last weeks in some OIC Member States, including Indonesia, Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Cameroon, is of dangerous nature of undermining unity and security of Muslim countries in a time of unprecedented rise of Islamophobia and deliberate external efforts to escalate sectarian and political conflicts in the Muslim world.

Disrespecting the very spirit of the Holy month of Ramadan while committing its outrageous acts of terror, be it in Tehran or Jakarta or London and Paris, is yet another prove that this inhumane set up has nothing to do with values of Islam and are the primary enemies of Muslims in the first place.

While expressing sincere condolences to and solidarity with the victims of Tehran attacks and wishing speedy recovery to the injured, ICYF assures of its resolve to continue working toward raising awareness amongst youth of Ummah about the dangers of violent extremism by empowering peaceful voice of youth in Muslim communities and strengthening Muslim youth involvement in global peace efforts, including through successfully continuing to implement of OIC Youth Capital Programme to which the Islamic Republic of Iran (Shiraz) is one of proud hosts.
