ICYF President H.E. Taha Ayhan met with Ambassador Kelley Eckels Currie Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues in the office of Global Women’s Issues on the 26th of October 2020. The two parties explored possible cooperation and joint efforts in spheres of mutual interest such as the upliftment of young women and supporting women-led initiatives at the grassroots level. The meeting also served as a reinforcement for the existing bilateral cooperation between the U.S. State Department and the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum. The success of this fruitful meeting paved the way for the signing of a protocol between the two institutions. H.E. Taha Ayhan vowed to keep fighting for the equal participation of women, young women in particular on the global stage across all key sectors of the economy as failure to do so will not only inhibit our growth but the development of the communities we come from and the world at large.
