The Executive Board of the ICYF strongly condemns the continuous attacks staged by the Israel security forces on Palestinian worshippers within the premises of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem.

This continued aggression is a systematic violation of resolutions of international legitimacy, Humanitarian norms, individual freedom and sanity, by targeting the freedom of worship of the Palestinian People and the status of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, particularly during the blessed month of Ramadan.

The Executive Board of the ICYF denounces these barbaric acts and refers to the OIC resolutions, which reaffirms the centrality of the cause of Al-Quds Al-Sharif for the whole Islamic Ummah and emphasizes on the need to defend the sanctity of Islamic and Christian holy places.

The Israeli illegal policies, practices and expansionist plans in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including Al-Quds which constitutes the State of Palestine, endangers international peace and security and threatens the prospects of attaining a peaceful solution of the conflict. The Executive Board of the ICYF is deeply concerned for the young people settling in the region and for those displaced and separated from their families.

The Executive Board of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum reiterates its unconditional support and solidarity to the Palestinian people and salutes the steadfastness of the Palestinian people as well as their just and valiant struggle to realize their legitimate national aspirations and inalienable rights to independence in the framework of two state solution recognized by International Community. The Executive Board of the ICYF calls on Member States to work together to end and condemn with utmost force the repeated Israeli aggression against the Palestinians and Al-Aqsa.
