ICYF attends ‘’Workshop on Muslim Diaspora: Prospect and Challenges for Global Peace and Prosperity’’

On 12 May 2018, the ICYF participated at the ‘’Workshop on Muslim Diaspora: Prospect and Challenges for Global Peace and Prosperity’’ co-organized by Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) and Prime Ministry Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) in Istanbul.

The opening ceremony was addressed by Their Excellencies Mr. Sayit Yusuf YTB Deputy President, Ambassador Musa Kulaklıkaya, SESRIC Director General and Ümit Yardım, Deputy Under Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Turkey who were unanimous in mentioning the importance of providing better conditions for all Muslims in diaspora, while encouraging further support by OIC Member States and institutions.

Mr. Abdula Manafi Mutualo, ICYF Director General of Youth Policy, Education & Training, addressed the audience during the interactive presentation on Global Muslim Diaspora Study and Findings to offer ICYF readiness to cooperate with the project so as to include youth segment, as well as to request participating Muslim communities in diaspora to initiate youth related programmes in cooperation with ICYF, including Model OIC in European Universities.
