ICYF President H.E. Taha Ayhan and ICYF Secretariat led a virtual meeting with the Secretary General of International Islamic Fiqh Academy. The meeting discussed various challenges faced by Muslim youth in the OIC region and beyond.

H.E Prof. Dr. Koutoub Sano detailed the goals of the Academy since its establishment and its priorities in addressing youth issues. He also related the most important programs and initiatives led by the Academy as well as its significant role in preserving values, combating violent extremism and fanatism islamophobia by disseminating and strengthening the values of tolerance, moderation, and temperance within and outside the Muslim world. He welcomed close cooperation with the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum to achieve mutual goals and support the efforts of ICYF in empowering Muslim youth globally.

His Excellency President Ayhan Taha welcomed and supported the remarks and highlighted the importance of cooperation with the International Islamic Fiqh Academy on many programs, particularly projects pertaining to the preservation of youth, faith, and identity in the OIC region and beyond. He welcomed signing a memorandum of understanding with The Academy and extended an invitation to H.E. the Secretary General of The International Islamic Fiqh Academy to speak to youth in ICYF’s Special Edition talks and other symposiums and programs.

H.E. the Secretary General of The International Islamic Fiqh Academy welcomed the signing of the MoU and confirmed the readiness of the Academy to partner with ICYF in all strategic goals serving the OIC, The Academy and ICYF objectives.
