The 1st Coordination Meeting for Implementation of ICYF Iqra Program on 29 March 2019, generously hosted by the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) at its headquarters in Ankara, Republic of Turkey.

Aside from ICYF the following Institutions attended the meeting:

1. Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey
2. The Islamic Development Bank (IDB)
3. SESRIC

Among the main outcomes of the meeting is the agreement to establish an “Implementing Working Group of ICYF Iqra Program”, which is to meet for the 2nd Coordination Meeting on 2nd May 2019 to adopt the Concept Note and Rules of Procedures of Iqra Program so as to ensure its timely implementation.

It should be mentioned here that ICYF Iqra Program is to support education rights, growth, development, learning and accessibility of education opportunities for youth with close cooperation by OIC Member States and relevant OIC Institutions through students exchange, youth mobility, internship and scholarships.
